Tom's mom was unfortunately in the hospital when his birthday rolled around (almost a month ago!). However, we had a small cake party for him in her room so she could enjoy the celebration. All of Tom's sisters told the story about when Polly (Tom's mom) went into labor with him. She was ironing and FINISHED ironing before saying, well, I guess I need to call a sitter for you (Tom has four older sisters). I couldn't imagine being so calm about labor! I guess by your fifth time you are an old pro!

Bumpdate...13 weeks!

So I'm trying out a new bumpdate format, tell me which you like better!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 13 weeks...last week of 1st trimester!

Size of baby: Size of medium shrimp

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Nothing so far, thank goodness! (not saying that out of vain-although I am vain, don't get me wrong-, doctor really doesn't want me to gain that much)

Maternity Clothes: Not yet...but soon, very soon.

Gender: will know in about 6 weeks!

Movement: Can't feel anything yet

Sleep: Ahh, $225 later, our room is cool and I'm sleeping wonderfully

Symptoms: CONSITIPATION

I know, I know TMI, but REALLY people.

Cravings: Pretty much anything, seriously

Best Moment this week:
We heard the heartbeat again yesterday. It was Tom's first time to hear it!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex of course!

I'm not sure why the spacing is soo off on this but I try to fix it and blogger puts it right back?? oh wel.

Bumpdate...12 weeks!

How far along? 12 weeks

Weight gain? Amazing, still none!

Maternity clothes? Not yet! I like my loose clothes though.

Stretch marks? Not yet, thank goodness

Sleep? Starting to get more difficult...much more difficult

Best moment of the week? Well, I want to document this so I will tell my worst and best moment...Sunday, I woke up and was bleeding and cramping. To be on the safe side, we went to the ER. Well, I should have never told them the pain wasn't great. We waited FOREVER. People were continually being brought in and taken back before me. I was sooo angry. Well, they eventually came to get me for an ultrasound. I saw the little BB jumping ALL around. It amazed me how active it was. For some reason they didn't let Tom back there so he didn't get to see it :(. Well, that put my mind at rest some...after waiting for another two hours in the waiting room (still hadn't been taken back), we left. I made an appointment first thing Monday morning with my OB. Turns out I had a tear near my placenta. They put me on bedrest the past two days to make sure it healed quickly. At the OB however, I also got to see the BB and he/she was again moving all around. Amazing!

Have you told friends/family? Family, friends, cashiers, pretty much anyone that will listen

Movement? I thought so but the ultrasound technician said it was too early and was probably just gas :)

Food cravings? Nothing, really

Anything make you sick? Nothing right now

Showing yet? I don't think so

Gender prediction? Tom thinks a girl, mom thinks a boy...I'm just not sure yet!

Labor signs? Nothing this week

Belly button in or out? in

Wedding rings? Still on

Happy or moody? Much happier, although bed rest isn't as much fun as it sounds!
