Thomas' Nursery

I was hoping to be done today for Kelly's Korner Nursery Show but...I'm not. :) The chair is still not in and the crib skirt is being worked on by Tom's sister...do any of you have problems with pottery barn crib skirts??? They don't reach the ground on the highest mattress level and it just bugs me! So Cathy is graciously adding some polka dot fabric to make it work! For now, here is the work in progress!

The whole nursery is pretty much Pottery Barn Kids.

I can't wait till it is finished and little Thomas is here!

Dining Room

Today at Kelly's Korner, it's dining rooms! The past two show us your life's I've just linked to a previous post but I didn't have any pictures of my dining room! Maybe because its just not my favorite. We are still using the table I got right out of college from pier one. I just can't justify buying a new one yet but I have a feeling with Thomas on the way, we will be getting one soon.

We live in a East Memphis High Point Terrace home and if you are from Memphis, you know what that means...smaller rooms usually. Although we have a dining room, its just not that formal. If we are going to stay in this house past the first child, we have alot of remodel plans that will open this space up tremendously.

I have decorated a small bit for fall.

I love my place settings!

I don't completely love this look but they matched my napkins and the rest of the house so for now, it will do!

Here is the before (when the old owners lived here):

And just for fun...here are two of the latest bump pics. I feel like I look sooo huge!

Have a great Friday!!!

Nursery

I am now almost 26 weeks!! woohoo! We have started working on the nursery but there is so much more I want!!! I'm sure every mom is like that!

We have painted the room yellow and we have all white furniture. Thomas' bedding is the Kasey bedding from Pottery Barn Kids.

My mom also bought us this mobile:

We bought the blue gingham curtains like you can kinda see in the background above. We just got this chandelier yesterday:

I also bought a few oopsy daisy too pictures to hang on the walls. BUT I still want all of this:

Nothing is too good for your first born...right?? :) That's what I am going to keep telling Tom!

Julie's baby shower

A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower for my best friend, Julie. She is pregnant with her second little girl so we did a small monogram shower for her.

Here were the yummy cupcakes from Muddy's complete with cupcake toppers made by Natalie at http://sticklesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/. They were soo cute.

I didn't get a picture of the finished product but then again, I also left a fruit tray in the refrigerator for the entire shower...pregnancy brain is in full effect.

30?

This past weekend I turned 30. Yeppers, I always imagined a HUGE thirtieth birthday party but with being knocked up and all, it didn't sound that appealing. So, Tom took me shopping both Friday and Saturday. We also went out to eat for lunch AND dinner on Saturday both my choices. Sunday my mom had us over for my favorite...chicken and dumplings! Of course, I only got pictures of the latter.

My birthday cake with my honey

24 weeks!

Nice action shot :)

Some party guests...my brother and niece

I've got to get back into taking pictures!!

All in all, 30 isn't so bad so far :)

3. I absolutely can't wait till Fall : decor, new tv shows, cooler weather, new clothes! I may even decorate this weekend.
