Wedding Recap Link Up
I'm linking up with Melanie and Holly today for share your wedding details. Tom and I were married on 8/8/09. We were engaged on 3/6/09 so I managed to plan everything rather quickly.
Here's the deal. I'm mostly happy with my wedding, except I wish I would have stuck to it and lost weight. I don't have one single wedding picture of me up in my house. I did love the details though!
Location: Le Pavillon, a converted house with cobblestone entrance...It was sooo hot. Like 110 degrees. Stupid hot. And of course the one thing Tom wanted was to get married outside....
Colors: I did a spring look with hydrangea blue, yellow and green. The green wasn't really as bright as the napkins below make it seem, the yellow either for that matter.
I was soooo angry about our cake. NOT at all what I wanted. I was disappointed in the caterer in all instances. She was NOT good.
The grooms cake was tool focused since Tom and I met at work, a hardware distriubtor (and Tom is known as a "handyman".)
The whole group of us. We each had eight attendants. This seems like a lot but you have to remember Tom has four sisters!!
Elle (my dog) was a flower girl herself.
We had three of our engagement photos framed and had everyone sign the frames as they came in. This worked out perfectly and we have all three hanging in our hallway at home.
Tom's mom was so excited to see him FINALLY get married (he was 37). It was also very special because one year later she passed.
Bridal Party: Tom's four sisters, my sister in law (brother's wife, my two best friends and wife of best friend from childhood)
Flower girls were nieces.
Groomsmen were three brothers in law, my brother, two of Tom's best friends and my two best guy friends from childhood.
Ring bearers were nephews.
Ceremony sight:
Ceremony sight converted for reception (you notice everyone is inside!!!)
As far as the first dance I really can't even remember what it was to! We left to bubbles.
Funny story, see all these buttons that were looped with a crochet needle? Well, a group of us went back to the hotel where we were staying for the night to "post party". Well I went to our room to change and join the party...alone. I got stuck in my dress and NO ONE would answer their phone to come rescue me. Tom finally came and rescue me only because they had ran out of beer :)
We left the next day for Jamaica, which is a whole story in itself :)

Weigh In Wednesday
As of this morning I was 197. A .6 loss since Friday. Although not exactly what I wanted to see slow and steady wins the race, right? Friday is usually my larger loss day so let's hope.
I just feel I have been doing well on my eating and definitely on my exercise. I am still eating a lot of frozen entrees because i want to get my calorie count under control before I start branching out on my eating. Is this what is holding me back? I know not drinking enough water is part of it!
A typical day:
Breakfast: Smart one breakfast sandwich
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Smart one or lean cuisine
Snack: Carrots
Dinner: Huge salad with grilled chicken
Snack/Treat: Strawberries
I have to remember, progress not perfection.

Neon Link up
I'm linking up with Walking in Memphis in High Heels and the Fashion Canvas today to show my take on neon. I will probably be the most conservative neon wearer linked up!
Shirt is from The Limited and my neon flip flops that match EXACTLY are from Old Navy. Check out everyone else's neon!

Weekend Shenanigans
I had planned on meeting up with Holly and Laura for brunch on Saturday but unfortunately I got the stomach bug from Thomas. Womp. Womp. I spent Friday night and most of Saturday...busy.
My friend Amanda makes the cutest cookies and she made Thomas "get well cookies" and brought them by on Saturday. How cute! If you are in the Memphis area, follow her on instagram @amandadesign, she is so talented!!!
At least this boy was feeling better, especially since his daddy was home. I put him in a jon jon on saturday...I know the days are numbered. His daddy gave me the stink eye but I still think he's adorbs.
Tom's sister recently moved and gave us her old trampoline (sides still need to be put up). Thomas is loving it!
Stomach bug has its upsides, lost 2 pounds and fit into an old dress on Sunday.
Dress didn't last long after an outdoor lunch with these two at our favorite neighborhood pizza place, High Point Pizza.
I'm looking for a picture that will bring color into my living room so we went by Pier One. I like these three but decided against all of them. However, looking at the pictures, I'm loving the starburst mirror in the second one :).
Sunday night we took Mimi out for sushi at Osaka.
Thomas was a pro at the kid's chopsticks.
All in all a good weekend. I didn't do well on exercising or eating but feel ready to tackle this week.
Monday: Dance Jam
Tuesday : Dance Jam
Wednesday: Triple Cardio
Thursday: Dance Jam
Friday: Barbell Strength
Here's to a great week!

5 on Friday
Ok, let's try this again. I had this post up and linked and then it messed up???
1. Tom has been traveling all week so I will be sooo happy when he is home to help with our sick little one!
Poor Thomas started throwing up Wednesday afternoon and threw up 17 times before 3 am. Poor mommy cleaned up puke 17 times...
2. After Wednesday's not so great weigh in this morning I weighed in at 197.6! I guess maybe Thomas's stomach bug helped.
3. I'm so thankful for our next door neighbors. They have a little boy, Connor, that is 27 days older than Thomas. They play really well together (and so do their parents). Its so great just to be able to have a Friday night pizza party in our driveway.
4. On Facebook this week one of my friends posted an old picture of me in dance...it was so amazing to see how much Thomas looks like me. What do you think?
5. Finally so grateful for my mommy this week! She came yesterday and took care of Thomas while I got some sleep. She then even had him spend the night with her last night so I could go to work today and get some sleep. I couldn't do it without her!
